Iconic St Kilda restaurant Stokehouse got into a plate-smashing mood to celebrate Orthodox Easter this year, with a one-off dinner with its Executive Chef Jason Staudt and talented chef Matt Germanchis.
Matt is behind Anglesea’s acclaimed Fish By Moonlite, so it should come as no surprise that the night included some amazing seafood in the form of cod head dolmades, raw Abrolhos Island scallops with bottarga and orange and charred Aquna Murray cod with avgolemono (that’s Greek lemon soup to the uninitiated). There was also slow-cooked lamb, naturally, while the free-flowing wine and ouzo and Greek music meant plenty of dancing into the night.
KDPO were on board to pitch the event to media and saw coverage in Time Out Melbourne, Broadsheet, Concrete Playground and Good Food. Until next year – yassou!
