Gone Fishing

We fell hook, line and sinker for the joys of promoting the North Carlton seafood shop The Fishmonger’s Son.

Engaged to manage the public relations for the husband-and-wife owners, Anthony and Laura Yotis, we enjoyed drawing attention to the quality and breadth of their premium produce and hard-to find items that pair perfectly with fresh seafood. We also focused on increasing their profiles as experts within the seafood and hospitality industry.

Throughout 2021, KDPO worked closely with Anthony and Laura, helping design engaging and on-brand marketing ideas from Fathers’ Day oyster boxes to Spring Racing picnic packs. The Fishmonger’s Son received great attention throughout the year, with features in Broadsheet, Urban List, Time Out, Concrete Playground and Herald Sun. We were also thrilled to see Anthony and Laura star in a six-page spread in the January 2022 issue of Gourmet Traveller, presenting a beginners’ guide to cooking with crustaceans.
