Cookes Food is a premium and multifaceted events and catering company that has been no stranger to a pivot in 2020. After a calendar full of events and functions were cleared overnight for Cookes founder Sophie Storen in late March when COVID-19 hit our shores, Sophie and her team put their thinking caps on and started curating delicious at-home menus to keep the spirits up for her clients.
From four-course meals to the humble chicken pie and lasagne, Cookes Food was pumping out hundreds of meals a week from their St Kilda kitchen for many hungry mouths. Although dancing at functions seemed like a lifetime ago, many people’s tastebuds were dancing after a delicious doorstep delivery from Cookes.
We helped Cookes with their Mother’s Day and Father’s Day campaigns and Private Dining Series, although sadly the latter was short-lived with a second wave of tighter restrictions. Nonetheless, we were so thrilled to see features in the AFR, Broadsheet, Good Food, GQ, and an appearance on Channel 9 News. We also made sure we spoiled a few of our favourite mums on Mother’s Day for a social campaign, sending the likes of Pia Miller, Julia Busuttil Nishimura and Alice Zaslavsky hampers. This culminated in a potential reach of 985,200.
