When we saw three young Bondi guys making waves and changing the fast-food scene in Sydney with Fishbowl we were excited to find out that they were making their way down to our beloved Melbourne. Although the cities have been pinned as rivals since the dawn of time, we were happy to make some room for delicious Japanese inspired salads and bowls of goodness.
To help celebrate the launch of their first Melbourne outpost – placed strategically in the Docklands for hungry lunchtime city workers – we threw a party with help from Peroni, CAPI and Halo Kombucha. A DJ spun tunes throughout the night whilst delicious bowls of salmon and tuna sashimi, miso roast eggplant, tofu and more were pumped out of the kitchen for guests to enjoy.
The Melbourne launch saw Fishbowl in a Broadsheet First Look, Good Food print, Time Out and Urban List just to name a few, and saw some social love from City of Melbourne, Elias, ForkSake and more.
With 19 stores and counting, it’s safe to say that Fishbowl’s first foray into Melbourne went swimmingly.
