Want a great example of successful pivoting during lockdown? Look no further than the successful collaboration between Melbourne bayside restaurant icon Stokehouse and legendary seafood wholesaler Clamms.
Stokehouse chef Jason Staudt joined up with the Clamms folk to put together three boxes of premium seafood and BBQ goodies that could be enjoyed at home, on a picnic or at the beach. Deliveries of crayfish, oysters, spanner crab, king prawns, tuna, octopus skewers and calamari and lardo skewers helped keep lockdown blues away not just in Melbourne but in the regions too, from Daylesford and the Yarra Valley to the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas.
The carefully curated boxes were not just a hit with punters. They received coverage from Good Food (100 Good Things) Broadsheet and Urban List, thanks in no small part to the influencers KDPO engaged to help spread the word, Nadia Bartel, Holly Titheridge and Mel Lionello (frommylittlekitchen) who, between them count 1.3 million followers.
