Melbourne-based designer Sener Besim is internationally renowned for his contemporary jewellery, eyewear and knitwear. His jewellery has been worn by the likes of Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton and has been described as “futuristic, clean, sharp and aspiring to perfection”. His work also looks amazing on anybody who wears it so KDPO was excited when Sener approached us to help launch his first ever stand-alone boutique at the 80 Collins precinct in Melbourne’s CBD this June.
The launch started in the East and West Room of Society restaurant, Chris Lucas’ stunning new restaurant that’s also a tenant of 80 Collins, with guests enjoying delicious canapés from the restaurant as well as Campari and sodas and wine and sparkling from Bird in Hand winery. KDPO handled the guest list for the event which included Jess Gomes, AFR Design Editor Stephen Todd, Georgina Safe, Lana Wilkinson, Suzy Eskander, Molly Johnstone, Kat Denton and Jack Charles. Guests were also treated to a VIP shopping experience in the stunning new store, a masterpiece of glass and concrete. KDPO took charge of the entire event, from concept and food and beverage curation and managing the launch on the night. It was a beautiful and successful evening and we’re so excited to see what comes next for Sener.
