A collaboration between Kiwi chef Josh Emett, of Waiheke Island’s The Oyster Inn, and Raes, the gorgeous Byron Bay boutique hotel and dining room, was a meeting of two icons.
We came on board (quite literally) to help facilitate an unforgettable event on Sydney Harbour that had Josh teaming up with Raes’ Executive Chef Jason Saxby to celebrate Australian and NZ produce paired with wines from New Zealand. The event saw 20 food and hospitality media enjoy a seafood-celebrating lunch aboard Raes’ luxury yacht-slash-“floating residence” Sea Raes.
We followed up that triumph with a second event, a consumer lunch held at Raes in Byron Bay. It was a huge great success on land and sea and made us look forward even more, if such a thing was possible, to the upcoming Stokehouse x Onslow dinner in Auckland, which like Taylor Swift tickets, sold out in the record-fast time of one day.
