The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 was a roaring, crowd-pleasing, game-changing success and KDPO was thrilled to play our part in such an historic occasion through working with the series’ official champagne sponsor, iconic champagne house Taittinger. Being fans of champagne, women’s sport and celebratory lunches, we jumped at the chance to help organise and host a series of lunches in both Melbourne and Sydney with Vitalie Taittinger, the first-ever female president of Taittinger, as the guest of honour.
Working closely with Melbourne-based events company Dot Dot Dash, KDPO curated the guest list of key media and key opinion leaders at the French-themed lunches, which were held at Restaurant Hubert in Sydney and Entrecôte in Melbourne and featured generous amounts of Taittinger’s finest cuvees on pour.
We were thrilled by the calibre of the guest list which included the likes of Kate Waterhouse, Charlotte Ree and Alyce Tran in Sydney and Julia Busuttil Nishimura and Katherine Denton in Melbourne, and even more thrilled with how chic Vitalie looked dressed by renowned Australian women’s custom tailor and clothier, P J Femme. The media attention was almost as enthusiastic as the stadium crowds and we were able to secure coverage in Gourmet Traveller, Herald Sun and Harper’s Bazaar.
