KDPO’s heart was aflutter on encountering the exquisitely reimagined homestead on Chandon Australia’s historic Yarra Valley estate. A multi-layered expression of Valley terroir and creativity, it embraces the rolling green landscape and showcases the work of more than 20 Australian artists and designers.
It’s a fitting new home for the storied sparkling brand that has called this beautiful part of Victoria home since 1986. The design by Melanie Beynon is ready to take it into the next 40 years, with the launch of a space for refined food and wine experiences and events for up to 50 guests.
KDPO needs no excuse to pop a bottle of Chandon, and we leapt at the invitation to throw a party introducing the new destination to an appreciative, glamorous and highly influential audience.
We tipped our hat to the location with an exclusive garden party. With the help of event organisers Curate & Deliver, the early April event saw a curated VIP guest list of influencers, media, designers and Chandon’s key stakeholders enjoy a glorious Yarra Valley day that started with roaming sparkling and freshly shucked oysters, before moving on to a delightful lunch and afternoon of live entertainment and lawn games. Tastings of Chandon’s exclusive Etoile release lent the occasion even more fizz – if such a thing was possible.
